Tranzfusion

Enjoy this classic rock band and be prepared to dance while having a delightful evening! Tranzfusion has been together for about a quarter of a century and has a current set list exceeding 200 classics including over 20 Rolling Stones tunes. Whether they are playing Aerosmith, Cream, the Doors, Beatles, Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Moody Blues, the Police, Tom Petty, Zeppelin or ZZ Top - they all sound just like the original recordings. I first heard Tranzfusion six years ago when the newest member, Josh Davis, joined the group. He’s keyboardist Bob Davis’s oldest son and Josh has written all of the songs on their latest CD entitled Lotus. I just love these musicians who hail from the eastern shore and think of them as family.

March 5 – Rockin’ Jake

It’s dancing time again as you enjoy this raucously wonderful New Orleans band. Come enjoy this infectious music as these musicians lay down those funky rhythms. My dear friend Jake rules the Blues Harp; he’s 5 time winner of the "Best Blues Harmonica" award in the Best of the Beat, New Orleans Music Awards. Rockin' Jake has been hailed by many as one of the premier harmonica players in the country. His original sound is a hybrid of second line, swamp funk, blues and zydeco with influences from Paul Butterfield, Big Walter Horton, James Cotton, The Meters, WAR, J. Geils Band, Clifton Chenier, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Jake has conjured up this formula that is blowing crowds away from coast to coast. www.rockinjake.com

May 14 - Daryl Davis

Grammy winner Daryl Davis has been keyboardist and bandleader for Rock ‘n Roll’s founding father Chuck Berry for over a quarter of a century. Mr. Davis has also worked with Jerry Lee Lewis, Chubby Checker, The Drifters, The Platters, The Coasters and many other rock music legends. Daryl is a world renowned musician and lecturer and we are so delighted to have him return to TUUC. He packed the house the last three year. Be sure to RSVP early for this concert or better yet, subscribe to the series to be assured a seat for this awesome concert! Need I say more? www.daryldavis.com
