Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity

TUUC joins with United Churches to support Chesapeake Habitat and sponsors the complete rehab of one or more Baltimore City row houses. Founded in 1995, United Churches is a growing coalition of Baltimore area churches (16 participating congregations in 2007) that offers congregations the opportunity to participate in sponsoring Chesapeake Habitat homes. TUUC contributes financially to the $100,000 sponsorship cost of each Habitat home and contributes volunteer labor during the rehab process.
