Finding the Line, a Lesson in Mindfulness
Some say it is described "as paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally." Some say it is about embracing the beauty of monotasking. Still others say that it is awareness and experiential inquiry. However you define it, studies have shown that mindfulness or concentrating on what you're doing will make you happier than daydreaming, even if you're daydreaming about something pleasant. Also it is a way of helping you cope with stress, anxiety, pain and illness. And it happens to me most clearly when I'm out in the woods, finding the line.
