The Trials of Muhammad Ali at TUUC

FREE and Open to the Public film showing of The Trials of Muhammad Ali. 'The Trials of Muhammad Ali' covers Ali's toughest bout: his battle to overturn a five-year prison sentence for refusing US military service in Vietnam. Prior to becoming the most recognizable face on earth, Cassius Clay became Muhammad Ali and found himself in the crosshairs of conflicts concerning race, religion, and wartime dissent. 'Trials' zeroes in on the most controversial years of Ali's life, when an emerging sports superhero chooses faith and conscience over fame and fortune. 91 minutes Trailer: https://youtu.be/XF_jh3_p_gw

  • Towson Unitarian Universalist Church (map)

Join Horton, the Elephant, as he goes on a quest to save the Whos and also to nurture the soon-to-be hatched egg of Mayzie La Bird.  He makes some special friends along the way, including JoJo, a young Who who is full of "thinks," and Gertrude, a plain little bird who has a special place in her heart for Horton.  They are joined by some other wonderful Dr. Seuss characters in the Jungle of Nool, and Horton's story reminds us that "a person's a person, no matter how small."
