• OUR JOURNEY

Are you searching for belonging and purpose? OUR JOURNEYS is a welcoming series where you’ll connect with others, explore your spiritual path, and discover what makes Towson Unitarian Universalist Church a unique, caring community. Together, we embrace religion as a journey of reflection, growth, and shared values.

  • SOUL MATTERS

Our Soul Matters Sharing Circles will begin meeting on Zoom on September 23 to explore the monthly theme.  Prior to gathering, you will receive a packet of possible spiritual practices; questions on the theme; and readings.  Participants are invited to choose one spiritual practice to engage and one question to reflect upon.  In a circle of six to ten people, we share our experience with the practice and our thoughts on the question.  We learn more about ourselves and connect with others on a deeper level. Click here to register ---Rev Clare and facilitators Art Starr, Marianne DeBow, Ann Beezley and Wekoye Davis.

  • WRITING AS A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE

All are welcome to these standalone virtual sessions. We check in; light a chalice; listen to a brief reading; and then choose one of several prompts. After writing together for 15 minutes in silence, we are invited to share what we have written. Through this practice we become more present to our own lives and get to know the lives of others at a deeper level.

  • OUR MESSY LIVES

OUR MESSY LIVES is a discussion group that meets monthly from 3:00-4:00 PM on every third Thursday afternoon. At the end of each session, the group chooses a word or concept to explore next month to share our thoughts, ideas, and perceptions about various topics, such as Relaxation, Resistance, Negotiation, Presence, Boundaries, Minimalism, Self-esteem, Assertiveness, Gratitude, and Humor.

  • SOCRATES CAFE

SOCRATES CAFÉ is a group of seekers of truth that meets virtually every third Monday, from 7:30-9:00 pm. We welcome one and all who love to ask questions, as did Socrates, and who view philosophy as spiritual, as a way of living, as something that all of us can do.

  • AGING TOGETHER

AGING TOGETHER meets to discuss issues, share resources (educational opportunities, professional articles in the aging field, health care alerts, helpful adaptive aids to make life easier as we age, etc.), and share personal experiences and philosophy related to the aging process. Meetings are held virtually.

  • MINDFUL WAY MEDITATION

Mindful Way sangha practices sitting meditation, dharma readings and discussions, and deep listening. The sangha meets from 7-8:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month.

    All are welcome.

  • HEART TO HEART

Are you concerned about what is happening in this country? Going through a life transition? Worried about your own health or someone else’s? These and other topics can be shared in a safe and trusting environment in a zoom group co-lead by Rev Clare and Art Starr. The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30-8:30. Please check the TUUC calendar for the Zoom login information.

  • AGING BOOK GROUP

The Aging Book Group meets on the first Sunday of the month from 12:15 to 1:15 PM at TUUC. We are reading “Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit” by Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Linda Thal. Although written by two Jewish authors, it is primarily written from a non-religious perspective.

  • CUUPs
